“Crack’d” Film Produced, Directed and Written by Sebastian Brown Receives Awards at Both International and US Film Festivals.

San Francisco, US - March 14, 2017 - Northern California (East Bay) area based Producer, Director, Author, Inventor and Entrepreneur Sebastian Brown is finding welcome audiences both at home and abroad for his short animated film titled “Crack’d”, which is about a lovable creature named MeeGGo. The CG3d animated short film produced by Quipster Animation (also owned by Brown) is based on the children’s booked he penned called, MeeGGo, The Journey Begins. It’s a relatable story about the journey to “come out of one’s shell” and discover who you truly are. The book was also illustrated by world-renowned and award winning animator/director Nicholas Villarreal (http://redcloverstudios.com/films.html) who’s short film Neita won the Best Animated Short Film at the Toronto Film Festival.

Crack’d has only just started its journey on the festival circuit and has already received Best Short Animated Film Awards for film and director and also other prestigious awards: Best Animated Short Film in Manhattan, NYC at the 2016 Metropolitan Film Festival; 2016 Best Shorts Winner Award of Excellence, La Jolla, CA; Jury Award Winner for Animation at the Manchester Film Festival 2017 in Manchester England; 2016 Finalist at the Equality International Film Festival in Sacramento, CA; 2016 Hollywood Just4Shorts Film and Screenplay Competition (completed as a semi-finalist), Hollywood, CA; 2017 Semi-Finalist Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival (HIMPFF) final judging April 30,2017); Official Selection of 2017 Beverly Hills Film Festival, (final judging April 30, 2017) Officially Acceptance 2016 We Like ‘Em Short, Chicago Amarcord Arthouse Television Video Fest; Official Acceptance 2016 Hollywood Boulevard Film Festival; Official Acceptance 2016 Shanghai International Short Film Contest; Official Acceptance 2017 MiCe Film Festival in Valencia, Spain. This wide range of acceptance and accolade is a testament to the universal message at the heart of the short film and all have occurred within only 6 months of Crack’d being exposed to the film festival circuit.
